This 10 inch diameter saw blade is constructed of carbon tool steel, and is designed for cutting window and screen frame material made of aluminum. Cutting aluminum frame stock with this steel blade provides best results when used with saw wax (see Prime-Line part P 7931). A waxed blade will produce clean, burr-less cuts, ideal for time saving repairs and new construction. Use of saw wax (not included with blade) will help to extend the life of the blade. This 1/16 inch thick, semi-high speed saw blade is equipped with 200 teeth and mounts on 5/8 inch arbors of bench top chop (miter) saws and radial arm saws.
For use when cutting lightweight aluminum frame material for window screen repairs and new screen construction
200 Tooth saw blade allows for smoother finished cuts
Use with Prime-Line part P 7931 saw wax, (sold separately) for longer blade life
For use on bench, radial arm, and chop saws
Cutting wood with this blade will dull the teeth
1/16 inch blade fits on 5/8 inch arbors of benchtop chop saws
Constructed of carbon steel to withstand high, repeated use
I built 22 screen frames for two porches using 7/16" by 3/4" frames. I mitered the pieces at 45 degrees for a nice looking fit. My delta miter saw uses a 12" blade so I built a jig to make it work with the 10" blade. I wish I had taken a picture of the jig but it worked great. The blade cut through the aluminum frames like butter. I did use an old candle to lube the blade. Highly recommended.
