I question if the reviews I read of these boots are actually the same boots as the ones that I own, because none of them make sense to me. First off, these are not very comfortable boots. I have walked 4-5 miles in them and have worn them tree climbing and limbing for several hours in scorching heat, so they are as broke in as they are going to get, and they are NOT comfortable. I wonder if any of these reviewers are either real, or have actually worn comfortable logging boots?? These boots literally feel like you're wearing downhill skiing boots.Secondly, they are excellent tree climbing boots. One review said, "He knew going in they wouldn't be good climbers.." Not sure why because stiff boots (IMO) are exactly what one needs climbing, and these work great. The Haix Protector Prime's are a time consuming boot to put on and take off as well. They have the cool loops that snap around the lace to keep the toe box tight, and it works great, but the laces are fairly narrow and are difficult to torque the boots on without hurting hour hands, maybe with gloves on they work great. But ultimately these boots are for foot safety when running a chain saw, and they are amazing in that regard, and isn't that after all what you're looking for? On one occasion I dropped a 4 in log on my foot, and I literally couldn't even tell! You might think they are much warmer than other boots of lesser quality, and you would be wrong, they actually breath good for such a thick and heavy boot.
