Goes on like silkFirst I love the soft as silk texture, it smooths on feeling like liquid baby powder. It's not at all greasy, which is good for oil prone skin. No nasty smell like you get in some of the less expensive primers. For that matter it's nearly scent free.So I covered my T-zone, cheeks and chin in a thin layer . Letting it dry thoroughly for about three minutes I then applied my foundation as usual. I used Maybelline Trublend the first time, they don't work well together. It sloughed off when I tried to build color. Washing it off I tried again with Loreal. The two work beautifully together, I was able to build on the primer covering everything I chose to without any sloughing. My foundation blended smoothly as usual. Afterward I was able to apply powder blush, set powder and bronzer . I finished with NYX Setting Spray, my look held for about 8 hours in a high humidity environment. It loses a point for not being versatile enough to work with the foundation of my choice. However I'll be buying this one again. It's well worth it for the price.awesomeI had bought this before and loved it, having bought more expensive primers and been disappointed. I put this on under my makeup, I get rid of shine midday, with my makeup still intact and in the evening I can pretty much take it all off as it hasn't budged at all. One bottle lasts months (compared again to the brands where you don't know where it went). However, I bought two last year and I was surprised as one immediately looked different, appearing yellow whereas the other other was colorless as usual. The yellow one had an almost glue-like texture, which was difficult to squeeze out of the tube and I hadn't seen before, compared to the other one which was the normal consistency. I wonder if there was something wrong with that batch...I can't give a direct review. I would not expect this to cover the red razor marks from someone who has to shave their face due to Menupause or Transgender or just an ethic type origin that has hairiness in a lot of placed woman prefer not to grow hair. Think moustaches, sideburns and thick neck hair in a greek man for instance. They get a 5 o clock shadow at 2:15! But it does seem to really help around the neck, ears and behind them and especially under the chin. Very Important to shave two or more times to add for complete coverage! Not bad at all for price. But product is different like ever person, so reviews are great, but reality is a personal experience!I love this primer. I've had trouble with redness forever and usually just used green concealer over most of my face. This primer eliminates the need for a lot of the concealer. While it doesn't cover up more stubborn red spots, it takes away the general 'red face' look and gives you a better base to start with. Makes your skin very smooth and workable. I don't know how this would work against really bad acne, you would probably still need to cover up a lot of red spots with something else, but for someone who just has skin redness it really works like a charm. The only complaint I have with this is that you only need a very little bit, but it comes out of the bottle VERY quickly so be careful. I would have preferred that it come in a pump bottle because I hate that most squeeze primers do come out too quickly, but either way it works so I won't complain too much.I only recently--a couple years ago--discovered primer, and now I couldn't live without it.I like this one, especially for the price.Do apply it *just* before you're ready to put foundation on though. If you leave it for very long and then come back to it, that smooth surface will have dried up, and if you apply more, it's too much and starts to flake off.4.30.17 Update.I bought this late last year and it's become a little thick. The gel comes out in a little blob. If I'm not careful, it can fall off the tip of my finger. This doesn't make it unusable, but it is annoying.I'm way past the fine line stage of life and was looking for a way to minimize deep wrinkles that doesn't involve surgery or botox. Since wrinkles tend to appear as red, I thought using a green primer might work to lessen their appearance. I think it does. It's a little scary putting green primer on your skin, but you don't end up looking like Shrek. It really does blend in, especially after I put face powder over it. Besides wrinkles, it's good for minimizing redness around the nostrils. So... go ahead! Be brave!Love this product! I have large pores and nowadays, sadly, lines.... Makeup looked so bad I didn't bother... But now!!! This primer feels lovely and is bloody fab at hiding my imperfections that normally would scream out once I've put foundation on. I won't be without this now... Wish I'd found it years ago.I have psoriasis so I'm always trying to cover the marks on my face. I used this after using a sensitive cleanser, then applied foundation and the redness has definitely gone down. I'm always a bit wary of using redness reducing primers as they can irritate psoriasis but I haven't had any issues with this. It's a rather small bottle though so I imagine I'd have to buy it somewhat regularly.Edit to the initial review below: Today I have given this product another go. I have found that if I re-apply it several times, leaving each to dry (which doesn't take long at all) it has the desired effect of neutralising redness whilst looking like there is nothing at all on my skin. You just have to be patient and apply a few times. It actually looks lighter after half an hour after I apply it. It still shows my freckles, which I like, my skin still looks natural like I'm not wearing anything at all, which is exactly what I wanted. The texture is such that it feels silky and any other make up would glide on nicely. It is a subtle affect, which I now quite like, but even after layering my skin is still a little redder than I had hoped for, though it has made a difference, and the tone is acceptable now. Hope that helps.Original review:I have a mildly red nose, always have had since early childhood, and I feel it stands out somewhat without a little foundation. I use a tinted moisturiser which lessens the redness but I thought the colour correct green tint may neutralise it without making me look like I am wearing make-up. (the tinted moisturiser is hardly noticeable and I like my freckles to show, but the red shows through it too). Sadly this appeared to do absolutely nothing what-so-ever in terms of colour correction. It is completely invisible, which is a plus point as a primer, but it does not do the job that I bought it for. This is very comparable to the high street L'oreal Infallible primer and Collection Witch infused clear mattifying primer, and somewhat similar to the Benefit Porefessional. It is relatively clear in "colour" and a little goes a long way. It smooths out pores and makes a decent base for makeup. I found when I used it with my regular cream (Aveeno daily moisturising lotion) the primer separated slightly and when I used the primer with no cream and layered makeup on top it peeled. I think you have to have the right skin type for this primer and the right creams and makeup products. I don't wear foundation and only use concealer under my eyes and the primer peeled my concealer and crumbled my powder products. It's okay if you want to save a little bit of money but I'd just invest in the above drugstore ones if you want something that won't peel or separate. I also found after about 2 months of not using it, it turned yellow...not sure if I got a bad batch but I'm sure it's worked out for someone!I didn't have much hope for this primer, but thought it's not too expensive do I'd give it a try. Little did I know that I will fall inlove with it!So I went ice-skating today after a long break. Was sweating like crazy, yet my make up stayed completely the way I've put it on! No sweat, no oily marks, skin so smooth! I was shocked ..Will definitely be buying another one once I am done with this one.Simply beautiful! Love it!Thank you for such a lovely (and most importantly reasonable priced) product!
