Axle Hat Nuts, also called cap nuts, are not threaded and are held in place by an inward facing contact points. They can be installed by gently tapping into pace using a hammer or mallet. Hat nuts are most often used to hold wheels in place on dollies/hand trucks, carts, pressure washers, air compressors and etc.

The little inner tabs that are supposed to grip onto the axle are so tiny and minuscule that they do not work AT ALL. Buying this product is a waste of your time and money. Buy better quality cap nuts, or you will just be frustrated. I had to return these as I couldn't get even one to stay on the axle after pounding it on.These caps don't have any locking tabs. I tapped them on the shaft, and they fell off. I do not recommend them.Fit and worked perfectDisliked everything except the price!
